Based on the anonymous pioneer hymn tune PROSPECT OF HEAVEN, first published in "Southern Harmony" in 1835, this tune was combined with pioneer LDS poet, William W. Phelps' text about the Garden of Eden with the future hope of Christ's return to the valley of Adam-ondi-Ahman, which the LDS faith believes is the original location of the Garden. Arranged with a dance-like piano accompaniment and complimentary fiddle obbligato of "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" make for a delightful special musical number for worship, concert settings, historical music, and hymn studies. Arranged as high-range and medium-range vocal solos. Obbligato part included on the last page. Watch the videos below to see and hear this arrangement.
